Bio Information
My name is Angelito Rivera, and I am the middle school and high school science teacher at Edmore Public School. I have been with the district since 2018. I am in the last year of my 5-year program as a cultural exchange teacher.
Throughout my past four years with the district, I have taught the following sciences: Life Science and Earth Science for middle school; Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Ecology, Environmental Science, Human Anatomy, and Physics for High School. This year, I will also be teaching Health Science to middle schoolers.
I am proud to say that I am a product of Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST) and the College of Immaculate Conception (CIC) in Cabanatuan City, Philippines, where I completed my Bachelor's in Physics Teaching and Master's in Science Education respectively. I am currently on my last few subjects at the University of the People for my second masters majoring in advanced instructions. I am also accepted to Doctor’s degree program at NEUST for science education. I believe that teaching is a continuous learning process and a life-long learning endeavor.
I spent my summer in the Philippines, where I visited places I had never been before. However, all those places are still on the same island, Luzon, of the approximately 7,100 islands and islets of the Philippines. It was a great experience spending quality time with family and friends. I have got to meet and play with my two 2-year-old nephews, Ezekiel and Jacob, who I call Etikiel and Ekob.
I am excited to continue my role as a science and health teacher this year in our district. Through meaningful and engaging classroom activities, I will do whatever is needed to promote learning based on the core standards.
Please feel free to contact me through my email at angelito.rivera@k12.nd.us. I will be more than happy to provide you with any assistance you may need in science education.
Way to go for another productive year at Edmore Public School!
Yours in science education,
Mr. Rivera
